Gossip From Twisted Bloodlines!
Deacon, the man everyone despises the most. Why did he become the way he is? Has he no heart at all? Here is a little insight into the man himself, and where he came from.
Son of Lena and Harlen Jamieson, Deacon was most definitely not born out of love. Lena had no trouble showing her hatred of both her mate and her son. Why no love for her son? Lena was pregnant with twins, a girl and a boy. She made the mistake of shifting in retaliation against Harlen, and this resulted in the loss of her daughter. She despised the fact that only the boy survived, which was made worse by his startling resemblance to Harlen. Harlen himself never acknowledged Deacon until he was old enough to follow in his father’s footsteps. Harlen loved no one , he was completely cold hearted to the core, although Lena was much the same herself. She was somewhat of a wanton woman and often found in the arms of another man. Her behaviour would cause instant death to any man unfortunate enough to be caught with her. This of course, would also result in quite a brutal beating for Lena by her enraged mate. Despite this, Lena would smile through her blood soaked mouth, knowing that her injuries would soon heal, leaving her beautiful skin as flawless as it had been before. Harlen’s reputation however, wouldn’t recover as easily. Some would say Lena had a death wish, while others thought she enjoyed the daily beatings she received. But I guess we will never know, since she finally pushed Harlen too far and he ended her life.
After the death of his mate, Harlen took on a hatred of the female species, and thrived in causing pain to any unlucky female who had the misfortune of crossing his path. Is it any wonder that after witnessing this behaviour throughout his life, Deacon has become the man he is today? Personally, I think it has more to do with the DNA running through his veins.
Deacon soon became an exact replica of his father, if not worse. No female should have ever approached him, but unfortunately his good looks and oozing charm had them flocking to his side. One particular female caught his eye, but he left her alone the first time he saw her, because he was unable to deal with the strange emotions she brought out in him. The second time around he had prepared himself better, and decided to approach her.
Beth was completely besotted by Deacon, a total sucker for his model looks and charm, as all the females were. Deacon played the role of the perfect gentleman, taking her out on dates and buying her little gifts. Not his usual routine, but he found this girl rather intriguing, and actually enjoyed her company instead of the usual screaming and begging for mercy that he had become accustomed to. Having other commitments to attend to, it was time to burst the fantasy bubble, and he took Beth to the last place she would ever see. Deciding to keep her away from the other girls, he kept her in his personal quarters. Although ashamed to admit he was actually falling for her, he decided to take her as his mate. After all, his father had done the same with his mother, and Deacon was well trained on how to discipline a mate.
More About The Author
I was born and raised in London, which is where I still live now with my husband and children. As a child I always had my nose stuck in a book. I started out reading mysteries such as Nancy Drew and then soon moving onto Agatha Christie. I then found a love of the horror genre, Richard Laymon being my favourite author among a few others. When a friend introduced me to the paranormal romance/fantasy genre I soon became hooked, building myself a very impressive to read pile and a long list of favourite authors. I would say both of these genres have influenced in the way I write and combining them is where I came up with the idea for my book.
